Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian for its healthcare and food service team in Pittsburgh, PA. You will assess nutritional needs of patients/residents, initiate interventions, and enhance quality of life consistent with goals. This position will typically be scheduled 8–16 hours per week.

As part of the team you will educate staff, follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards, and contribute to continuous quality improvement in dining and nutrition services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field.
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed CDR exam or eligible per the Academy.
• 75 hours CE every five years, per CDR requirements.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulations for comprehensive assessments and care planning.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies for dining service and nutrition.
• Participate in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field

Master's degree in Nutrition or related field

Passed CDR examination or eligible

Completes 75 hours CE every 5 years

Licensed or certified per state requirements

Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments and care planning

Ability to teach nutrition and dietetics
