Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with focus in Dietetics.
• RD credentialed and Texas licensure upon hire or in process.
• 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect nutritional data from patient records and evaluation instruments.
• Provide medical nutrition therapy for prevention and treatment of diseases.
• Prepare special diet menus for patients with dietary needs.
• Assess dietary status and provide nutrition counseling and education.
• Perform nutrient analysis using computer tools.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and staff on dietary needs.
• Evaluate outcomes of nutrition interventions.
• Develop and revise nutrition education materials.
• Duties may include direct patient interaction, research participation, and handling patient records.
