Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (or related field) is required.
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field is required.
• Passed a national examination by CDR or eligible for eligibility.
• Completes continuing education as required by CDR every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsabilités

• Identify and assess nutritional needs of patients/residents.
• Initiate interventions to maintain or improve nutritional status.
• Enhance quality of life aligned with patient goals.
• Educate patients, staff, and consultants on nutrition.
• Contribute to development, review, and revision of QA programs.
