Job summary

International SOS Government Medical Services is seeking a CLR Clerk to coordinate specialty care referrals for military beneficiaries. In this role you will work with healthcare providers and administrative teams to move referrals from initiation through completion, ensuring timely access to services and continuity of care.

You will communicate with patients and clinics, verify eligibility, gather required documents, and document all steps in CHCS, AHLTA, RMS, and other approved systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Experience providing administrative or customer service support in a fast-paced professional office environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• 2+ years healthcare administrative experience in inpatient or outpatient settings preferred.
• Experience supporting healthcare administration, referral management, patient access, or medical scheduling.
• Familiarity with military healthcare systems, TRICARE, CHCS, AHLTA, MHS GENESIS, RMS, or comparable EHR systems.
• Experience coordinating communication between patients, providers, and specialty clinics.

Responsibilities

• Manage referral workflows from initiation through completion, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Review referrals for administrative accuracy, verify patient eligibility, and coordinate appointments.
• Communicate with patients, providers, and clinics regarding status, required documentation, and instructions.
• Track referral activity, maintain records, and ensure CLRs are completed as required.
• Utilize CHCS, AHLTA, RMS, HAIMS, and other systems to manage referrals and update patient data.
• Support referral reporting and customer service activities to improve patient access.
