Job summary

Intermountain Health's Pahrump Clinic seeks a PRN Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging exams in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate maintains ARRT competency, adheres to safety protocols, and collaborates with radiologists and staff.

This part-time role requires a minimum of four 12-hour shifts per month, with rotating weekends and holidays. ARRT certification and BLS are required; state license as applicable.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification (R) required.
• State radiologic technologist license if applicable.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• May need MA competency checklist and MA function in clinic settings.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT proficiency in clinical and technical functions.
• Prepares patients, verifies orders, and identifies patients for exams.
• Performs exams per protocol and reviews images for quality.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe environment.
• Completes studies promptly while maintaining patient care and quality.
• Assists and instructs students and other radiology staff on protocols.
• Provides patient education and ensures comfort during procedures.
• Operates equipment and related information systems to ensure quality.
• Keeps accurate records of procedures and any adverse reactions.
• Follows coding, charging, consents, QC, and equipment failure reporting.
