Job summary

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiography Certification/Registration current or eligible in ARRT Radiography.
• State licensure as required by the practicing location.
• BLS certification required for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in clinical/technical functions.
• Ensures proper patient identification and prepares patient for exam.
• Performs exams per protocol and reviews images for quality and accuracy.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
• Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care.
• Assists and instructs students and CT staff in exam protocols and positioning.
• Provides patient education and ensures comfort.
• Practices infection control and sterile technique.
• Operates CT equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information and procedures.
• Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC, and equipment failures.
