Job summary

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist PRN to perform diagnostic imaging exams while upholding patient care standards and image quality. You will coordinate daily operations, support staff, and ensure compassionate service for all patients.

The role requires ARRT eligibility or certification, BLS, and a team-oriented mindset. A strong knowledge of radiography equipment and patient positioning is essential, with a focus on safety and quality in a busy clinical

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT R.T. (R) or registry eligible.
• BLS certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year experience preferred.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team.
• Strong knowledge of radiography equipment and imaging standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow QA guidelines and protect patient privacy per HIPAA and hospital policies.
• Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures for emergencies and reactions.
• Ensure proper operation of radiology equipment via maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Perform radiographic exams per physician orders meeting site standards.
• Prepare and position patients with correct exposure factors.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety during transport and exams.
• Administer contrast agents under Radiologist guidance and minimize exposure.
• Document care in department records and address problems with appropriate decisions.
• Maintain a clean, professional working environment and engage in ongoing education.
