Job summary

Ayden Healthcare of Wauseon is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) PRN to work alongside licensed physical therapists in a skilled nursing facility. You will play a key role in helping patients regain mobility and improve quality of life through rehabilitation plans and collaborative care.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree in PTA, current state licensure, and experience in diverse clinical settings.

Qualifications

Associate degree from an accredited program in Physical Therapy Assisting.
Current state licensure or certification as a PTA.
Experience in settings such as outpatient clinics, SNFs, or home health preferred.
Knowledge of patient care techniques and rehabilitation practices for various populations.
Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team.

Responsibilities

Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans.
Conduct patient assessments and monitor progress.
Support patients in performing therapeutic exercises to improve strength, flexibility, and mobility.
Educate patients and families about treatment plans and home exercises.
Document patient care activities and maintain comprehensive records.
Collaborate with the healthcare team on discharge planning strategies.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.
