Job summary

Avir at Groesbeck is seeking a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to work under a licensed PT in Groesbeck, TX. The PTA will deliver hands-on care, implement treatment plans, and support resident mobility and independence.

Responsibilities include administering therapies, documenting progress, collaborating with the care team, and educating residents and families. Texas PTA license required; SNF/long-term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Texas PTA license.
• Good standing with licensing boards and regulatory agencies.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Net Health documentation a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to promote mobility, strength, and functional ability
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions under PT supervision
• Assist with implementing and adjusting treatment plans based on resident progress
• Observe and document resident performance, safety, and response to therapy
• Provide education and support to residents, families, and caregivers
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation per facility and regulatory standards
• Communicate resident updates and observations to the supervising PT
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team
