Job summary

Emerald Care Center Claremore is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled nursing facility team in Claremore, OK.

You will work closely with our physical therapists and nursing staff to provide high-quality rehabilitation services for residents, helping improve mobility and quality of life through personalized care.

This PRN role offers scheduling flexibility with potential for full-time, depending on facility needs.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure or certification as a PTA in Oklahoma.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in implementing and modifying treatment plans; provide hands-on therapy (exercises, manual therapy, modalities).
• Collect and document patient data, progress notes, and treatment outcomes; report changes to the physical therapist.
• Educate patients and families on exercises, equipment use, and home programs; support preventive care.
• Set up and maintain therapeutic equipment and assist patients with devices and aids.
• Collaborate with physical therapists, nurses, and other professionals to develop individualized care plans.
• Adhere to facility policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements; maintain a safe therapy environment.
