Stern Therapy Consultants is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant for Bezalel Rehab and Nursing Center in Far Rockaway, NY. The role supports the supervising PT with resident rehabilitation, mobility training, transfers, and fall-prevention activities.

As a PTA in a skilled nursing setting, you will help residents follow the established plan, document progress, and collaborate with the rehab team to maintain consistent mobility care throughout the day.

Formación

• Active New York Physical Therapist Assistant certification.
• Ability to provide attentive care within an established physical therapy plan.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and documentation skills.
• Skilled nursing experience is helpful; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsabilidades

• Implement the supervising PT's treatment plan through individualized exercises and functional activities.
• Work with residents on walking, standing balance, bed mobility, and transfers.
• Reinforce safe use of prescribed mobility devices and techniques for reducing fall risk.
• Monitor treatment tolerance, follow resident-specific precautions, and report changes to the PT.
• Maintain accurate notes describing interventions, assistance provided, and residents' responses.
• Coordinate with nursing and fellow therapists to support consistent mobility practices throughout the day.
