Job summary

Goodwin Living in Alexandria, VA, is seeking an experienced PRN Physical Therapy Assistant to deliver one-on-one home health care across Northern Virginia communities. Under a Physical Therapist's plan of care, you will treat residents to improve function, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life in their homes or retirement communities.

The role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to earn extra income while serving older adults with compassion.

Qualifications

• Current Virginia Physical Therapy Assistant license.
• CPR certified (adult only).
• Possess compassion and empathy and comfort with at-risk or low-income constituents.
• Ability to deal tactfully and compassionately with clients, family members, and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Provides Physical Therapy treatments to improve residents' functional abilities under a Physical Therapist’s Plan of Care.
• Communicates with the Physical Therapist to clarify the Plan of Care and report resident progress.
• Documents treatments according to Rehab Department protocols and Medicare guidelines.
• Coordinates resident’s treatment with nursing staff and other therapists.
