Goodwin Living in Alexandria, Virginia, seeks a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join an interdisciplinary team and support older adults’ quality of life. The PTA renders treatments under a Physical Therapist’s Plan of Care to improve function, safety, and comfort, while coordinating with nursing and other therapists.

Requirements include PTA program graduate status, an active VA license, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant program (accredited).
• Up-to-date Physical Therapist Assistant license.
• CPR certified (adult only).

Responsibilities

• Provides Physical Therapy treatments to improve resident function under a Therapist’s Plan of Care.
• Communicates progress, reports adverse effects and suggests adjustments to the Plan of Care.
• Documents treatments per Rehab Department protocols and Medicare guidelines.
• Coordinates resident’s treatment with nursing, occupational and speech therapists.
