Job summary

Summit Care in Augusta, KS seeks a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and within state guidelines. The PTA will assist with patient assessments, home programs, and family instruction, while documenting services per facility standards.

Qualified candidates have an accredited PTA program, valid Kansas PTA license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
• Valid Physical Therapist Assistant License in Kansas.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to exercise mature judgment with initiative in analyzing and solving problems.

Responsibilities

• Provides therapeutic treatment according to the established plan of care.
• Documents treatment and patient status, response to treatment, and billing-relevant information.
• Maintains therapy records and ensures supplies/equipment available.
• Maintains patient schedules as per guidelines.
• Participates in meetings with patients, families, and facility staff as appropriate.
• Follows facility safety, infection control, and emergency procedures.
