Job summary

HealthMark Rehabilitation in Conroe, TX is seeking a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide therapy services to residents and short-term patients at Park Manor Conroe.

The PTA will work under licensed therapists to develop and implement care plans, document progress, and ensure timely billing and compliance with regulations. Strong communication, organizational skills, and prior geriatric rehab experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold Texas license/certification for PTA.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and interact with staff and customers.
• Demonstrates time management and organizational skills.
• Geriatric rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Background check and hiring process completed successfully.

Responsibilities

• Provides therapy services in accordance with physician’s orders and accepted professional practices.
• Develop an overall therapy plan of care including treatment duration and frequency, goals, and discharge plan; per standards of practice.
• Therapists of all disciplines perform skilled treatments according to established plan of care.
• Documents observations, patient responses, progress, and notable changes within specified timeframes.
• Completes all documentation timely and in accordance with state and federal regulations and policies.
• Completes all billing required on the date of the provided skilled services, and in accordance with regulations.
• Assist with maintaining rehab gym equipment and treatment area safely and with proper infection prevention.
