Job summary

Everwell in Port St. Lucie, FL is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist (PRN) to evaluate and treat patients in our geriatric inpatient behavioral health unit. The role emphasizes functional mobility, fall risk reduction, safe transfers, and overall rehab needs to support safe discharge.

The ideal candidate holds a DPT or MPT, an active Florida PT license, and a current BLS/CPR certification, with 1–2 years of geriatric clinical experience. Inpatient psychiatry experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT or MPT).
• Active, unrestricted Florida Physical Therapy License.
• Current BLS/CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical therapy evaluations and provide treatment for short term patients.
• Focus on fall prevention, safe transfers, gait training, and functional mobility to promote safe discharge.
• Educate clinical staff and family members on safe handling techniques and adaptive equipment.
