Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Licensed Psychologist to provide high-quality mental health care within an institutional setting. You will conduct screenings, assessments, and develop treatment plans for inmates, coordinating with a broad clinical team to ensure integrated care.

The role requires a Doctoral degree in Psychology, an active license, and at least two years of clinical experience. You will also perform rounds, participate in crisis interventions, and contribute to ongoing treatment

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Psychology required.
• Current unrestricted license to practice psychology in the practicing state.
• Two years clinical experience, including one year in a comparable position.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum age: 18 years.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological screenings and assessments based on records and clinical interviews with inmates.
• Coordinate with psychiatry, mental health staff, nursing, medical, educational, chaplain, security, and others to inform treatment and ensure care continuity.
• Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans according to needs and functioning levels.
• Perform rounds in segregation or other housing areas to assess inmate adjustment and treatment needs.
• Apply psychological counseling theory and techniques to caseload treatments and activities.
• Provide assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions as needed for inmates in crisis.
• Offer timely clinical guidance during after-hours incidents and emergencies.
