Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking Licensed Psychologists to provide high-quality mental health care in an institutional setting.

Duties include screenings, assessments, treatment planning, rounds in housing areas, and collaboration with psychiatry, nursing, and other staff to address inmate mental health needs.

Requirements include Doctoral degree in Psychology, active state license, at least two years of clinical experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• PhD/PsyD in Psychology from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological screenings and assessments via records review and clinical interviews with inmates.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, mental health staff, physicians, nurses, social workers to integrate care and ensure follow-through.
• Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans based on evaluation of needs and functioning.
• Make rounds in segregation or other housing areas to assess inmate mental health needs.
• Provide counseling and crisis interventions appropriate to inmates in crisis.
• Consult with psychiatry, nursing, chaplain, security and others to understand escalation of problems and changes in mental health.
