Job summary

Summit BHC is hiring an Registered Nurse for Twin Lakes Recovery Center in Monroe, Georgia. The role involves direct nursing care, coordinating patient treatment, and educating clients and families on health conditions in an on-site setting.

The RN will assess and document patient status, administer medications with strict verification, and collaborate with the treatment team to ensure high-quality care in a behavioral health/ detox environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• One or more years’ nursing experience within clinical area of service provided by facility preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health/psychiatric/addiction recovery environment preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience with psychotropic medications and medication administration procedures.
• Ability to apply nursing standards and practice within an acute psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs of client, develops and implements nursing care plans, maintains medical records and educates clients and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions while ensuring client safety.
• Assesses clients’ status on an ongoing basis and communicates findings to the providers timely.
• Obtains provider’s orders accurately and documents appropriately; transcribes and reviews orders ensuring all required elements are present.
• Accurately administers medications, per ordered, utilizing at least two client identifiers.
