Job summary

Vail Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Preop/PACU team in Vail, CO. The role is PRN (pool) with potential for flexible days and a 16% PRN differential. You will provide compassionate nursing care, educate patients, and support perioperative processes in both PreOP and PACU.

The position requires Colorado RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, plus 1 year of RN experience, with compensation based on education and experience. Close Date: Oct 21, 2026

Qualifications

• One year RN experience required.
• Colorado RN license or valid compact state license required.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum of an Associate Nursing Degree for positions hired after 07/01/2018.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the daily patient flow to optimize patient care, safety and satisfaction.
• Provides patient education to facilitate the plan of care, discharge instructions for home care.
• Administers medications, performs treatments, and assists in procedures per safety guidelines.
• Completes patient documentation and paperwork with accuracy.
• Ability to work in both PreOP and PACU and take call independently.
