Job summary

We are seeking a PreOp PACU Nurse for an ambulatory surgery center in Englewood, Colorado. You will ensure safe and effective nursing care postoperatively until the patient is dismissed, contributing to a family‑like care culture.

The role requires an RN license, BCLS, ACLS within 30 days, and 1+ year perioperative experience. You will support discharge criteria while delivering high‑quality patient care within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or higher is required.
• Active RN license as required by state of employment.
• BCLS certification required; online not acceptable.
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire.
• PALS if required by facility within 30 days.
• 1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably Preop/PACU.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient care area with equipment and supplies.
• Demonstrate airway management techniques.
• Monitor patient vitals per policy.
• Insert, maintain and remove IV catheters and saline locks.
• Perform head-to-toe evaluation using approved scoring system.
• Check dressings and report abnormalities to surgeon.
• Provide a safe and comforting environment for patients and family.
• Ensure patients meet discharge criteria.
