HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee, FL is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) PRN to deliver targeted exercises and functions under the supervision of licensed PTs. You will help patients restore mobility, monitor progress, and collaborate with the care team to ensure quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes hands-on patient care, education for patients and families, and participation in a multidisciplinary team focused on compassionate care and positive patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant is required.
• Current active state Physical Therapy Assistant license (LPTA).
• BLS certification is required within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift or move patients and equipment up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Delivering therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility.
• Applying physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function.
• Monitoring patient progress and documenting responses to ensure safe, effective care.
• Teaching patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs.
• Working closely with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance the patient experience and support a culture of excellence.
