Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team at Kindred Hospital Dallas on a PRN schedule. Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will help implement rehabilitation plans and assist patients in activities to restore function and independence.

Qualified candidates have an Associate Degree in PTA, current state PTA licensure, and CPR certification if required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program culminating in an Associate Degree.
• Current state licensure as PTA or equivalent where services are rendered.
• CPR certification (when required).

Responsibilities

• Work in a team to provide quality, compassionate care in a secure setting.
• Under supervision of the Physical Therapist, implement the patient's Care Plan for rehabilitation.
• Communicate patient progress to supervisor and team; assist with scheduling and post charges to patient records.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory and accrediting requirements.
• Instruct patient family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Adhere to Company Code of Business Conduct and applicable laws.
• Other duties as assigned.
