Job summary

Lifepoint Health’s St. Luke's Health-Brazosport Hospital in Lake Jackson, TX is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a PRN schedule.

Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will help implement rehabilitation plans, engage patients in activities, document progress, and support an efficient care team. Graduate of an accredited PTA program with an Associate Degree and current Texas PTA license are required, CPR if requested.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant/PTA program culminating in an Associate Degree.
• Current state licensure as Physical Therapy Assistant / PTA or equivalent in the states where services are rendered.
• CPR certification (when required)

Responsibilities

• Work in a team providing quality, compassionate care in a secure setting.
• Under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, implement the patient’s rehabilitation care plan.
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; assist with patient scheduling and post charges to patient records.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements.
• Instruct patient’s family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
