Job summary

Vancouver Specialty & Rehabilitation Care is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PRN) to join our team on a per diem basis. You will provide patient care under the direction of a Physical Therapist and supervise aides in direct care as needed.

You will deliver treatments per the PT plan, communicate progress with the care team, and maintain thorough treatment notes and records. The role emphasizes confidentiality, professional conduct, and compliance with state practice acts.

Qualifications

• Provide physical therapy treatments under PT plan.
• Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality.
• Communicate patient progress with care team.

Responsibilities

• Providing physical therapy treatments according to the physical therapist's treatment plan
• Communicating with manager and other health care interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress, problems or plans
• Recording daily treatment notes, portions of monthly progress notes, and discharge summaries timely and completely
• Maintaining patient records confidentially
• Complying with the Washington State Physical Therapy Act
• Recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, exam rooms, and supplies
• Maintain a professional appearance and personal conduct at all times
• Follow all of the facility's policies and procedures
• Adhere to employer work practices
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, residents, families, and management
