Job summary

Vancouver Specialty & Rehabilitation Care is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team on a per diem basis. You will provide PT treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and support clinical operations.

In this PRN role you will document patient progress, communicate with the care team, and help maintain compliant records and a professional, compassionate environment for residents receiving long-term or post-acute care.

• Communicate with manager and health care interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress, problems or plans
• Recording daily treatment notes, portions of monthly progress notes, and discharge summaries timely and completely
• Maintaining patient records confidentially
• Complying with the Washington State Physical Therapy Act

Job Overview

Your essential duties will include:

• Providing physical therapy treatments according to the physical therapist's treatment plan

• Maintaining patient records confidentially

Additional Responsibilities

In addition to the above responsibilities, you will:

• Recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, exam rooms, and supplies
• Maintain a professional appearance and personal conduct at all times
• Follow all of the facility's policies and proceduresAdhere to employer work practices
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, residents, families, and management
