About the Role

CommuniCare Rehab, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, has a PRN opening for a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) at Grande Pointe Healthcare Center. Our therapists are In-House Team Members. This is an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact with our residents through therapy. Qualifications

• A Physical Therapy Assistant Degree from an Accredited Program.
• Hold a valid or pending State Physical Therapy Assistant License.

Job Responsibilities

• Verify client information by interviewing the client; reviewing and/or recording medical history; confirming purpose of treatment.
• Help clients improve their quality of life by helping them compensate for limitations, such as helping injured workers improve motor skills and re-enter the labor force, and teaching persons with learning disabilities to live with increased independence, use public transportation, and increase mobility independence.
• Implement treatment plans through direct treatment and collaboration with Physical Therapists, including education of team members and families.
• Opportunity to work at multiple centers, serving a wide variety of patient needs.
