Job summary

Autumn Care of Biscoe is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to help residents regain function in a skilled nursing setting. You will implement therapy plans, educate patients, and support discharge planning under clinical guidance.

Strong communication, compassion, and basic computer skills are essential. An associate degree and active NC license are required; PRN shifts and varied hours offer flexibility within a supportive team that values patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate’s Degree in a Physical Therapy Assistant program from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant within the state in which you work (North Carolina).
• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including service delivery software and the electronic health record software.

Responsibilities

• Help residents regain physical function and achieve therapy goals in a SNF setting.
• Instruct patients in exercises and activity modification, and support education for continued independence after discharge.
• Collaborate with therapists and staff to implement care plans and document progress in the EHR.

Position Summary
