Job summary

Mercy Health in Urbana, OH is seeking a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant to provide skilled interventions across outpatient and inpatient settings, including pediatrics, under the direction of a Physical Therapist.

You will document patient progress in the EHR, support family education, and contribute to the continuity of professional care across the continuum. Prior PTA license and BLS are required or pursued as indicated.

Qualifications

• Licensed PTA in the state of practice is required.
• BLS certification is preferred and must be obtained within 30 days for some locations.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal and patient-care abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver age-appropriate therapeutic interventions as directed by the PT.
• Maintain accurate records of treatment and patient progress.
• Maintain productivity without compromising quality of care.
• Precept students from participating colleges or schools.
• Follow departmental policies on safety and infection control.
• Communicate patient responses to the PT both orally and in writing.
