Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for Springfield Rehab Therapy to support patients across inpatient, outpatient and off-site locations. You will deliver skilled therapeutic interventions and document progress in the EHR, under the guidance of a Physical Therapist.

The role requires licensure as a PTA in the practice state, with BLS preferred on hire. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to high-quality patient care within a faith-based system.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of practice.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred or required within set timeframe.
• Ability to document treatment and patient progress accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provides age-appropriate therapeutic interventions under supervision.
• Maintains accurate records of treatment and patient progress.
• Maintains productivity while ensuring quality of care.
• Precepts students during clinical experiences.
• Adheres to safety and infection control policies.
• Reports patient responses to the Physical Therapist.
