Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides direct physical therapy treatments under the direction of the physical therapist.
• Treats patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance.
• Directs and aids patients in therapeutic exercises, gait and functional training, and prosthetic training.
• Utilizes physical agents (heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, massage).
• Observes and reports patient responses and changes to treatment to the PT and staff.
• Instructs patients in use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic/orthotic devices.
• Maintains clinical notes and records within required time frames.
