Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. is seeking a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide in-home rehabilitation services in Marion, OH. The PTA will work under a supervising Physical Therapist to help patients regain strength, improve mobility, and maintain independence with personalized plans of care.

The role offers flexible PRN scheduling with about 10–15 visits per week and one-on-one patient care, emphasizing compassionate, patient-centered rehabilitation in home settings.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted PTA license in the state of OH or applicable service area.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and current auto insurance.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to Marion, OH homes.
• Ability to work independently under the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Home health or clinical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home PTA visits per plan of care under supervising PT.
• Assist with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, and ADLs.
• Improve patient strength, balance, mobility, and independence.
• Document patient responses and changes in condition to PT.
• Educate patients and families on exercises and safety.
• Complete timely documentation per care plans and guidelines.

As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you will be called to care when you're needed most. As part of Interim HealthCare, you'll provide in-home rehabilitation services to help patients regain strength, improve mobility, and maintain their independence while bringing comfort and dignity to their daily lives.

As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), You Will

• Provide in-home physical therapy visits based on each patient's individualized plan of care under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT).
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, muscle re-education, gait training, transfers, and activities of daily living.
• Help patients improve strength, balance, coordination, mobility, and overall functional independence.
• Observe, document, and report patients' responses to treatment and any changes in their condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises, safety techniques, and ways to participate in the rehabilitation process.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation following established care plans and agency guidelines.

To qualify for a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) position with us, you will need:

• Licensure: Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state associated with this position.
• Certification: Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Valid state-issued Driver's License and current Auto Insurance.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patient homes throughout the Marion, OH service area.
• Ability to work independently while following the supervising Physical Therapist's plan of care.
• Previous home health or clinical experience preferred.
