Job summary

Birmingham Rehabilitation & Wellness Center in Birmingham, AL seeks a PRN Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. This as-needed role offers schedule flexibility while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to support discharge planning and patient recovery.

Qualifications

• PT: Accredited Physical Therapy program graduate and Alabama license required.
• PTA: Accredited PTA program graduate and Alabama PTA license required.
• Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work a flexible, as-needed schedule.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop or carry out individualized treatment plans (PT), or deliver treatment under supervision (PTA).
• Document evaluations, progress, and outcomes per facility, state, and CMS requirements.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support goals and discharge planning.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and home programs.
• Maintain compliance with clinical, safety, and regulatory standards.
