Job summary

Birmingham Rehabilitation & Wellness Center in Birmingham, AL, is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. This flexible, as-needed position supports short- and long-term care populations with high-quality, patient-centered care.

As a PRN member, you will cover caseload demand, work with an interdisciplinary team, and help patients achieve optimal recovery while maintaining compliance with clinical and CMS standards.

Qualifications

• PT: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program; current, unrestricted Alabama PT license
• PTA: Graduate of an accredited PTA program; current, unrestricted Alabama PTA license
• Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work a flexible, as-needed schedule

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop or carry out individualized treatment plans (PT), or deliver treatment under the supervision of a licensed PT and per the established plan of care (PTA)
• Document evaluations, progress, and outcomes in compliance with facility, state, and CMS requirements
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient goals and discharge planning
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and home programs
• Maintain compliance with all clinical, safety, and regulatory standards
