Birmingham Rehabilitation & Wellness Center is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. This flexible, as‑needed position is ideal for a licensed clinician who values schedule flexibility while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

About the Role

As a PRN member of our therapy team, you’ll provide skilled physical therapy services to residents and patients across our short-term rehabilitation and long-term care populations. You’ll work as needed to cover caseload demand, staffing gaps, and peak census periods.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop or carry out individualized treatment plans (PT), or deliver treatment under the supervision of a licensed PT and per the established plan of care (PTA)

• Document evaluations, progress, and outcomes in compliance with facility, state, and CMS requirements

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient goals and discharge planning

• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and home programs

• Maintain compliance with all clinical, safety, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• PT: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program; current, unrestricted Alabama PT license

• PTA: Graduate of an accredited PTA program; current, unrestricted Alabama PTA license

• Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills

• Ability to work a flexible, as‑needed schedule
