Job summary

Luxor Healthcare is seeking a Certified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support the Physical Therapist in implementing resident-specific treatment plans. This position offers FT and PRN shifts, with opportunities for advancement and a comprehensive benefits package.

The PTA will provide direct treatment, document progress, and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Certified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) credential required.
• Experience assisting in implementing treatment plans preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct treatment to patients per the plan of care developed by the supervising physical therapist.
• Accurately document treatment information and indicate the need for skilled services.
• Maintain productivity and time management according to the daily schedule.
• Attend patient care plan meetings for interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Communicate patient progress to the supervising physical therapist.
• Support program development and share best practices with the Rehab Team.
• Assist patients in achieving outcomes and engage with the community.

Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA Job Description:

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) supports the Physical Therapist in implementing resident-specific treatment plans.

Shift: FT and PRN

PTA Responsibilities:

• Provides direct treatment to patients in accordance with the established plan of care developed by the supervising Physical Therapist. Is alert to detect signs and symptoms of favorable and unfavorable reactions to treatment. Reporting adverse responses to treatment immediately to the physical therapist.
• Accurately and regularly record all pertinent information regarding the Physical Therapy treatment program. Accurately and timely document the need for the skilled service in each record entry.
• Consistently perform at the required productivity level maintaining effective time management according to daily schedule.
• Attend and contribute to patient care plan meetings for an interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Communicates patient’s response to treatment and progress towards established goals with supervising physical therapist.
• Active participation in program development and clinical programming. Identify best practices for Physical Therapy practice and share with Rehab Team.
• Assist patients in achieving critical outcomes while acting as a trusted partner within the community.
