Luxor Healthcare in Missouri is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support the Physical Therapist in implementing resident-specific treatment plans.

The role is offered as full-time with PRN shifts, and includes direct patient care, precise documentation, and collaboration with the rehab team to support program development and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must hold PTA certification and be licensed to practice.
• Provide direct treatment and monitor patient responses.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct treatment to patients per the plan of care.
• Accurately document treatment records and need for skilled services.
• Maintain productivity and time management per daily schedule.
• Attend care plan meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary care.
• Communicate patient progress with supervising Physical Therapist.

Job description

Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA Job Description:

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) supports the Physical Therapist in implementing resident-specific treatment plans.

Shift: FT and PRN

PTA Responsibilities:

• Provides direct treatment to patients in accordance with the established plan of care developed by the supervising Physical Therapist. Is alert to detect signs and symptoms of favorable and unfavorable reactions to treatment. Reporting adverse responses to treatment immediately to the physical therapist.
• Accurately and regularly record all pertinent information regarding the Physical Therapy treatment program. Accurately and timely document the need for the skilled service in each record entry.
• Consistently perform at the required productivity level maintaining effective time management according to daily schedule.
• Attend and contribute to patient care plan meetings for an interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Communicates patient’s response to treatment and progress towards established goals with supervising physical therapist.
• Active participation in program development and clinical programming. Identify best practices for Physical Therapy practice and share with Rehab Team.
• Assist patients in achieving critical outcomes while acting as a trusted partner within the community.
