Job summary

SanStone Health & Rehabilitation in North Carolina is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to assist in implementing individualized treatment plans for residents in a skilled nursing facility.

The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to promote recovery, improve function, and enhance residents' well-being through therapeutic exercises and education. NC licensure and a team-focused approach are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in North Carolina.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, resident-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out individualized treatment plans for residents.
• Implement therapeutic exercises to improve strength, mobility and function.
• Provide hands-on support and guidance to residents during therapy sessions.
• Monitor and report residents' progress and update treatment plans as directed.
• Educate residents and their families on exercises and safety after therapy.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state and facility rehabilitation regulations.

Tarboro Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to assist in implementing treatment plans and helping residents achieve their physical therapy goals. Your role will be vital in promoting recovery, improving functional mobility, and enhancing the overall well‑being of our residents in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out individualized treatment plans for residents based on their physical needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Implement therapeutic exercises and interventions to improve strength, mobility, and function.
• Provide hands‑on support and guidance to residents during therapy sessions.
• Monitor and report on residents’ progress, documenting changes and updating treatment plans as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Educate residents and their families on exercise routines and safety measures to follow after therapy.
• Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and a holistic approach to rehabilitation.

Qualifications:

• Current, active North Carolina state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
