Job Summary

Physical Therapy Assistant; uses procedures and techniques to change condition/function consistent with rehabilitation diagnosis; supervises therapeutic care, communicates results, teaches staff, participates in management of resources; may provide off‑site services as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility
  • Apply physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function
  • Monitor patient progress and document responses to ensure safe, effective care
  • Teach patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs
  • Work closely with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance patient experience and support a culture of excellence
Qualifications
  • Required Education: Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Required License: Current North Carolina license to practice Physical Therapy; BLS certification required within 90 days of employment
  • Required Experience: None required – new graduate eligible
  • Preferred Education: None
  • Preferred License: None
  • Preferred Experience: Clinical affiliations covering a wide variety of rehabilitation settings as part of the A.S. program
