Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist – Patient Service Center to provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and represent the company in a patient‑service setting. Opportunities for continuous growth within the organization are available.

The role involves collecting blood samples by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, processing billing information, and traveling to additional sites as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or 3 months of phlebotomy experience.
  • 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  • Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required.
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients.
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
  • Travel to additional sites when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Overview

Phlebotomist – Patient Service Center

We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist to provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and represent the company in a patient‑service setting. Opportunities for continuous growth within the organization are available.

Work Schedule

Monday‑Saturday, as needed. Variable schedule (not to work more than 19 hours in a week).

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  • Enter patient information accurately and promptly
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or 3 months of phlebotomy experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
Additional Job Standards
  • Certification or training must be from an accredited agency
  • Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation
Benefits

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), PTO/FTO, Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled for fewer than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary positions are eligible for the 401(k) plan only. Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all benefits except PTO/FTO.
