Job summary

Labcorp in Covington, Louisiana is seeking a phlebotomist for a casual/per diem position with flexible hours. The successful candidate must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or qualify for accommodation.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, specimen collection for various tests, accurate data entry, billing, specimen preparation, and maintaining logs. Travel to additional sites is required, with emphasis on exceptional customer service and teamwork.

Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions, seeking a phlebotomist to join the team in Covington, Louisiana. Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test.

Employees scheduled for less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are only eligible for the 401(k) plan. Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.

Additional Compensation

Phlebotomist may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which awards a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
