Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Leesville, LA. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests, entering patient data accurately, processing billing information, and providing exceptional customer service. Travel to additional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Phlebotomist

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Leesville, LA (71446)

Work Schedule

Monday - Thursday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; Friday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm (additional hours may be requested as needed)

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed, Reliable transportation required

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
• 2 or more years' assisting all patient groups (pediatric - geriatric)
• Current or prior LabCorp experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
