Job summary

PharmD on Demand seeks a Retail Pharmacy Technician to join Presbyterian Homes of GA in Austell, GA on an as-needed (PRN) basis. You will assist the pharmacist with entering and filling prescriptions, labeling medications, and managing daily dispensing tasks in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, active pharmacy technician licensure in the state, and a detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician licensure in the applicable state(s) is required.

Responsibilities

• Enter and fill prescriptions for medications across oral, topical, rectal, or injectable forms.
• Create medication labels and unit doses.
• Accurately enter prescription data into the system.
• Perform dosage calculations for diverse patient populations.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory and reorder supplies as needed.
• Communicate with customers, coworkers, and healthcare professionals by email and phone.
• Coordinate with insurance companies and facilities to resolve issues.
• Process charges and prepare dispensing records.

Education
