Job summary

PharmD on Demand is seeking an experienced pharmacy technician to join our team at First Choice Primary Care in Macon, GA on an as-needed (PRN) basis. The ideal candidate works well in a team environment, is detail-oriented, and ready to assist wherever needed.

Compensation is competitive and based on experience and qualifications, with opportunities for advancement and team collaboration. The position requires current pharmacy technician licensure in GA and supports a positive work environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current pharmacy technician licensure in the applicable state(s).
• All experience levels considered.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in providing medication, drug information, and pharmaceutical services to patients, nurses, physicians and other hospital personnel.
• Receives and stores incoming deliveries of medication and supplies.
• Demonstrates an ability to calculate figures and amounts relating to dosage calculations when filling various prescriptions ranging from the newborn to the elderly populations.
• Maintains inventory of supplies in pharmacy and other departments and reorders them accordingly.
• Answers the phone and communicates effectively with hospital staff as directed by the pharmacist.
• Prepares and delivers medications to designated locations based on end-user need.
• Maintains stock in the automated dispensing cabinet.
