Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Pharmacist for a PRN, as-needed role in Ohio. The pharmacist will perform medication management to ensure safe, rational, and cost-effective therapy while adhering to applicable regulations. The position requires licensure in the state and experience in pharmacy practice.

The role involves reviewing orders, ensuring proper preparation, supervising staff, documenting adverse events, and educating patients. Travel between Mercy Health locations is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS or PharmD.
• Licensure in the state(s) practicing is required.
• Experience in pharmacy practice is required; 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process orders and provide medication review for safety and efficacy.
• Ensure accurate preparation of compounded and non-compounded products.
• Oversee distributive functions to ensure timely medication availability.
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and support personnel activities.
• Identify and resolve adverse medication events; participate in event reporting.
• Provide medication education to patients and collaborate with providers.
• Travel between locations as needed.
