Overview

DLH Corp is actively seeking PRN Pharmacist candidates that will be responsible for providing verification of mail order prescriptions for our nation's veterans. These positions will be in a closed-pharmacy production facility. No retail duties!

$59.07 per hour

The PRN Pharmacist will be scheduled depending upon production needs, 12-24 hours per week, covering any of the following shifts:

6am-12pm, 6am-2:30pm, 9:30am - 6pm, 12pm-6pm Monday - Friday

Saturday shifts (7:30am-1:30pm) may also be required.

  • Assess drug orders and cross match with medications presented at Checking Stations.
  • Compound and dispense medications.
  • Pre-verify medications loaded into highly specialized mechanical equipment.
  • Verify and fill Controlled Substance orders.
  • Perform Quality Assurance functions and supervise Pharmacy Technicians.
Qualifications:

Pharmacist Candidates are required to have:

  • Graduate of an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited school or university.
  • Hold a valid and unrestricted Pharmacist License in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
  • Minimum of one year of recent (within the past two years) practical pharmacist experience.
  • Ability to obtain VetPro certification (credentialing system required of all VHA health care providers).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or show proof of citizenship or legal residency in the United States.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal communications.
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English.
  • Be able to lift 30 pounds.
  • Have the ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.
  • Be able to meet all regular hours and overtime hours that are required by the facility.

This position is located in a secured federal building. The VA requires that all applicants:

  • Must be able to pass a Federal background check. NO felony convictions.
  • Must be able to pass drug screening, including THC (marijuana)
