West Lafayette Medical Center in West Lafayette, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide professional nursing care across physician offices, including assessment, treatment, care planning, and education by following established standards and practices. The RN float coordinates patient care and serves as a liaison among patients, staff, and providers.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Active RN license in Indiana or NLC member upon hire is required.
• 2 years nursing/patient care preferred.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care across physician offices including assessment, treatment, and education.
• Coordinate patient care and act as liaison between patients, staff, and providers.
• Record and maintain complete and accurate patient and physician communications per documentation requirements.
• Submit electronically/fax new prescriptions and refills according to physician orders.
• Serve as a resource to clinic staff regarding medical information and patient assessment.

The Registered Nurse (RN) works in multiple physician offices to provide professional nursing care for patients including assessment, treatment, care planning, medical care evaluation, and education by following established standards and practices. The RN float assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care and functions as a liaison between patients, staff, and providers.

• Submit electronically/fax new prescriptions and refill prescriptions according to Physician orders.
• Serve as a resource to clinic staff regarding medical information, patient assessment, and nursing management of illness
• Acquire pre-certs/prior authorizations for patient needs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate’s Degree -Required
• Bachelor’s Degree - Preferred
• Valid RN license to practice in the state or as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) upon hire - Required
• 2 years Nursing/Patient Care - Preferred
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
