Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs Medicare compliance reviews and audits as needed.
• Creates patient financial responsibility estimates and collects payments.
• Coordinates with utilization management for pre-authorization issues.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and obtains pre-authorizations within timeframes.
• Registers patients accurately and collects demographic and insurance details.
• Maintains coverage of assigned work areas and provides relief as needed.
• Facilitates communication between clinical, ancillary, and access teams to improve patient experience.
• Documents conversations with patients and payers, including payment plans.
• Attends department meetings and provides PBX coverage when required.
• Performs cashiering duties and cash reconciliation.
