Job summary

AdventHealth in Celebration, Florida is seeking a part-time Patient Access/Revenue Cycle professional to perform Medicare compliance reviews, verify eligibility, and collect payments. The role involves coordinating pre-authorizations, registering patients, and ensuring accurate insurance information.

The candidate should have a high school diploma (Associate degree preferred) and experience in customer service or revenue cycle.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CHAA certification preferred.
• CRCR certification preferred.
• 1+ year in customer service or healthcare revenue cycle preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs Medicare compliance reviews and issues ABNs as needed.
• Creates accurate estimates for patient financial responsibility and collects payments or sets up payment plans.
• Coordinates with utilization management for pre-authorizations and ensures patients have necessary information.
• Registers patients for all services with accuracy and minimizes duplication of medical records.
• Documents all patient and insurance conversations, including payer decisions and payment arrangements.
• Provides coverage for PBX (Switchboard) and performs cashiering duties as needed.
