Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Paramedic for PRN shift coverage in Wisconsin. The role provides advanced life support, transports patients, assesses illness or injury, and initiates interventions per state and local protocols.

The incumbent will routinely apply oxygen, start IVs, and administer fluids and medications as needed during emergencies. Required certifications ensure readiness to deliver high-quality prehospital care.

Qualifications

• Paramedic license required (Kentucky Board of EMS).
• BCLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• PEPP certification required.
• PALS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides advanced life support care to patients who are ill or injured.
• Transports and transfers patients and assess the extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures.
• Applies artificial respiration or administers oxygen in cases of suffocation and asphyxiation, starts IV fluids.
• Performs other emergency medical interventions in accordance with state and locally approved medical protocols.

Job Requirements:

• Paramedic License issued by the Kentucky Board of EMS.
• Valid Kentucky Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of hire.
